The WAITing Treasure Continues

Hello Treasures,

So how many of you have been working on your WAITing perspective?

I was praying this morning and had to repent, God said you seem to trust and even desire or yearn for people to give you confirmation on your baby more than trusting in Me and My confirmation. He said, I have given you MY Word and you still waver! He reminded me of the lady who kept approaching the judge and approaching the judge and the judge finally said yes. He said, that parable is there so that you will be reminded to continuously ask me for what you desire. I will, I am, going to give it to you! {Big Sigh}

You can read more on this parable in Luke 18:1-8.  It will teach us persistence, faith and prayer, with a promise of God's faithfulness and justice.  Read it and leave me a comment on what you learned.

Many times we think WAITing means to remain idle, to do nothing but simply WAIT. We say, “I am just WAITing on the Lord” and “His timing is perfect, He’s never late always on time.”  Yes God gives the promise but we still have to do our part.

The truth is that if I want to conceive in 2013, I need to do something. If you want to get that job that you really need, you have to apply and go on interviews.  If you want answer to your prayer, you need to pray. If you want wisdom, you have to ask for it. If you want the door to be open, you have to knock. If you want to find, you have to seek.  If you want to get, you have to ask.

Chapter 8 in the book of Joshua, starts off with a promise from God.
Joshua 8 (NIV)
Ai Destroyed

"Then the Lord said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Take the whole army with you, and go up and attack Ai. For I have delivered into your hands the king of Ai, his people, his city and his land."

The Lord tells Joshua, I HAVE delivered into your hands the king of Ai, his people, his city and his land. If you continue to read the rest of this chapter, you will read that Joshua did not just go home and wait for this to happen. The Lord spoke this word directly to Joshua but it did not just happen. Joshua had to take his army and not only attack Ai, but he had to strategically position his army and at the right time go in and attack. I want to inspire you to read these encouraging stories in the Bible.

When we are WAITing for our husband to get out of work, so we can go to dinner and he is running late, do we just sit and do nothing while WAITing on him?  I know I don't, I call him (or text) and remind him that we have a dinner date (in a very nice way{evil laughing})

When I am WAITing at the doctor's office for my appointment and the time scheduled has passed, I remind the receptionist that I am WAITing.

Well you get the point right?  While WAITing God does not want us to remain idle but He wants to meet with us, He wants to hear the desires of our hearts and HE wants to give us the desires of our hearts. He is our WAITing Treasure and in Him we find rest, peace and patient love.

Keep WAITing, Keep praying, Keep asking, Keep declaring.

Jeremiah 29:11(NIV)
"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

More AVON Treasures

Hello Treasures!

Today is my 2nd attempt at a Beauty Blog, Makeup Blog.  Please be kind to this rookie Blogger/Make Up Artist.  I have to admit, I am not a MUA at all but I am a MUJunkie. I love love love to buy make up. Even if it just sits in my 10 make up bags in the corner of my room along with my perfumes, body sprays, lotions and all that fun stuff.

On a side note:  on a day like today when I ran out without putting on my ANEW day moisturizer for my face, I am so thankful for my AVON  BB Cream. It moisturizes with just the right coverage for a sunny day in Cali. You can check out more here It's All About Avon Treasures.

So yesterday, I got home from work and started thinking about my next blog. I took out ONE of my many make up bags and seperated all my AVON products and decided I'd work with whatever I found in there.

I shouldn't be surprised that I found so much AVON make up but I actually was because this isn't my daily make up bag. Ijust had some overflow stuffed away. Some of the products are older and may not be available anymore.

I mostly focused on my eyes for this post. I found two eyeshadow quads in the bag. I thought perfect since I have two eyes, I will use one quad for one eye and the other quad on the other eye. Good thing I was in for the evening.

These are AVON eyeshadow quads. I think it's worth mentioning that the case also has a mirror. It comes with the little applicator (which I used because my make up brushes were in another make up bag, in my car.) The names of the eyeshadows are listed and there is a diagram to help you apply. I followed the diagram, (Remember my disclosure at the beginning of my post, I am not a MUA.)  In most AVON campaigns you can get an eyeshadow quad for $4.99 on sale, regular price is $9.00. I seen a post for a MAC eyeshadow quad, $38.00. At Victoria's AVON and MARK shop you can get one of each quad for $40.  The colors really are True Color.  I really encourage everyone who reads this to try at least one of these quads. All AVON products also have a 100% satisfaction guarantee, so if you dont like the results, then you can exchange or return any item and get your money back.

I used the AVON eyeshadow primer in Warm Beige to help prevent fading and creasing. It is lightweight and waterproof. Also available in Light Beige. It is pictured above in a little glass container. I apply it with AVON concealer brush. It is priced at $7.00.

So here are my EyeS of the Evening.

I used all four colors on each eyelid, (since I used the small applicator that comes with the quads and not an eyeshadow brush the colors are not as popping as they could be.)  I used the Ultra Luxury Pencil eyeliner in Khaki, Sale price $1.99, Reg. price $6.00, for the eye look on the left side(my right eye).  For the eye look on the right side (my left eye) I used a MARK eyeliner in a turquoise color. Again these were just AVON/MARK items I found in this make up bag.  On my lips I used Avon Super Shock lip gloss.  I also had a MARK powder brush in the bag, some AVON lipliners, a few AVON lip glosses and two cream to powder foundations.

Before I am a sales rep. of AVON/MARK products, I am a consumer. Before I started selling the products, I would also buy them and I still do. Yes I want to encourage you to buy AVON/MARK products but I am also sharing to make you aware of this great product at a great price and well you should just order all your AVON/MARK products from me  =). Please and Thank You!

It's Memorial MonDAY

I work full time so I just love holidays and three day weekends. I love fun, food, and family time. Today was a great day. I hope you also had a great day.

Today serves as a reminder that the freedom we have here in the USA has not come free. We have brave men and women who have paid with their lives for our country, for our freedom. We honor those warriors today and let us remember them, not just today. What a sacrifice our military men and women make. They freely choose to serve our country, to fight for our country and to give their lives for our freedom.  So very thankful for men and women in the military who lay down their lives for our freedom.

I cant help but think about Jesus today as well. He also gave His life so that you and I can have freedom.

John 8:36 (AMP)
“So if the Son liberates you [makes you free men], then you are really and unquestionably free.”

He sets the example for us.

John 15:13 (AMP)
“No one has greater love [no one has shown stronger affection] than to lay down (give up) his own life for his friends.”

Just as Jesus laid down his life for us and the military men and women lay down their lives for us, we also should do the same. We need to lay aside our own agendas and pray for our military, pray for our nation, pray for our communities, pray for our youth, pray for our families. We also need to go into battle and be warriors, prayer warriors.

1 John 3:16 (NIV)
“This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.”
I do realize that I am a day late on this post and I apologize for that. I meant to post this yesterday.

I hope everyone had a blessed weekend and are ready to tackle a new short week.

The WAITing Treasure...

How many of us like to WAIT?  (My hand is not raised) I don’t like to WAIT 45-1 hour at a restaurant to be seated for dinner or WAIT at the doctor’s office 30 mins-1 hour even though you have an appointment or WAIT to hear back from an employer you just interviewed with or WAIT for the finances to pay your bills, or how about WAIT for a dream or desire to come to pass …WAIT, WAIT, WAIT.

I don’t know about you but when I hear WAIT, I usually cringe. The WAITing Treasure.  (HMMMM) To WAIT, does not seem like a TREASURE does it?  I agree but today I want to encourage you to allow a shifting in your waiting perspective, and this is for me also.  How can WAITing be a treasure, you ask? Let’s look at a couple of scriptures.

Psalm 38:15, "But for you, O LORD, do I wait; it is you, O Lord my God, who will answer." (ESV)
Here we see that, we are waiting for the LORD. It is you, O Lord my God, whom we WAIT for. So we are not waiting for the answer, we are waiting for God, who will answer. If we shift our waiting perspective not on what but WHOM we are waiting for, there we will see The Waiting Treasure.  Our Lord is our Treasure, our Waiting Treasure.
Isaiah 40:31, “Yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary.” (NASB)

This scripture in Isaiah, tells us what we can find in The WAITing Treasure. I like the way the Amplified Bible Version says it,

Isaiah 40:31, “But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.” (AMP)

So will you Desire To Inspire a shifting in your waiting perspective today?  Once we make this shift, others around us will be inspired as well.

Is It All About The Followers, Subscribers, Comments and Likes?

So I came across this Mega June Sponsorship Giveaway at Nykki Talks Beauty and I was just beside myself. As a new blogger this is exactly what you need, especially when you have no followers YET. Yeah so when I seen this, I just couldn't wait to enter and yes begin to imagine how many eyes would read my blog and be encouraged by my Faith, Hope and Treasures.

I am a brand new blogger, just started about two weeks ago. I initially thought of  gearing my blog to Avon and Mark products because that is my side business and I am looking to grow my business and expand my customer base but of course as a Christian I wouldn't be able to blog without sharing my Faith and my Hope which is in Christ. So I took a leap of faith and begin my blogging journey.

For 10 entries to this giveaway, you can write a blog about it so I begin to question, is it about the followers, subscribers, comments and likes? I have concluded that it is.  I love receiving comments and feedback on my blog posts and getting new likes on my Victoria's Avon and Mark Shop Facebook Page and new followers on my Pinterest Boards MrsAguila09 as well as on my Twitter MrsAguila09 so I would absolutely love love love to get my blog sponsored by all these amazing bloggers. I really hope I win this.

Thank God it’s Friday

I came across Five Minute Friday and wanted to join in.
Inspired by Five Minute Friday  at http://www.lisajobaker.com/
Today’s Prompt is SONG

A SONG. Everyone has a favorite SONG. A certain SONG becomes our favorite for so many different reasons, the lyrics, the beat, the artist.

I believe that we all have our own SONG, a SONG treasure within us.  Our very own life SONG. I want my life SONG to be praise and worship to King Jesus. I want my every minute of my life to sing praises to the One who gave His life for me. I want to worship and praise Him for who He is and what He has already done for me. Even if God never pours out another blessing for me, I still want my life to sing a SONG of thanksgiving, of gratitude, of love, of appreciation because the SONG I sing should come forth for my love for Him, love for Him because He loved me first. A SONG not based on my feelings or what I can get out of it but a true love SONG for the King of King and the Lord of Lords.

Dear God, help my life SONG to be a sweet fragrance of Christ to You. (2 Corinthians 2:15)

Ephesians 5:2(AMP) “And walk in love, [esteeming and delighting in one another] as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us, a slain offering and sacrifice to God [for you, so that it became] a sweet fragrance.”

Another scripture that came to mind with “SONG” was this one so I will close with it.

Isaiah 54:1 (AMP) “Sing, O barren one, you who did not bear; break forth into singing and cry aloud, you who did not travail with child! For the [spiritual] children of the desolate one will be more than the children of the married wife, says the Lord.”

It's All About The Avon Treasures

I will attempt my first make up blog today.

I remember as a young girl, my mom always use to order AVON from my Tia Elodia and now my mom is one of my faithful customers. Love her! AVON products have been a household item for us all these years. What do you use from Avon?

Before I got married, I use to sell AVON/MARK, let's just say I loved buying more than selling so I stopped selling it for sometime and recently begin selling it again.  It's been going well. I have my regular customers, whom I love and so thankful for their support.  This time around I wanted to expand my wings and not just stick to showing the catalogs around but also promote my AVON/MARK website for your shopping convenience, AVON Representative Victoria Aguila. I also created a Facebook page where I share specials, promotions and new product introductions. You can like and share my page here, Victoria's Avon and Mark Shop.

Since I started selling AVON/MARK, I made a promise to myself that if I was going to shop, I was going to shop AVON/MARK products especially the make up.  This came after, I had made a trip to the MAC Cosmetics counter and spent $100 on three items. Yes you read right, three items. I ended up returning the blush I spent $25 on and ordered one from AVON for  a sweet $4.99 which was so close in color and most of all I love it. Eventually I want to do blogs on comparisons and such but I am not there yet so be patient =)

Ok so now, for todays make up look, I used all AVON products.

First I applied the new BB cream in the Medium shade using the Foundation Brush for an even application. The BB cream will be available in Campaign 12 in six shades for a low $7.99.

Next I used the Glow Blusher Bronzer Duo in Peach Glow on my cheeks. I was a little thrown off by the duo color to be honest but it blends very well. I just swiped across both colors and had a nice glow all day. This is available now on my website in four different shades.

On my lips I used Totally Kissable Lipstick in Coy Copper. CONFESSION, I have one of almost each shade and there are 16 shades available.
For my eyes I used Always On Point Eyeliner in Black and this eyeliner is available in 6 great shades.
Lastly I used the SuperExtend Infinitize mascara in Black. I love this brush as it pushes your eyelashes up and no need to use an eyelash curler. This is available in two shades. I use a great mascara technique I learned  from Maria-Isabel's Blog, Agape Love Designs.  Check it out on her popular posts. She's awesome.

So here's my look.

Stop by my Facebook page, Victoria's AVON and MARK Shop, for links to purchase all or any of the products I used today or you can shop on my website Avon/Mark Rep. Victoria Aguila.

The Monday after Mother's Day

So here is hoping that all the MOM's out there had a very special celebration for Mother's Day yesterday.

As for me, it was pretty hard day for me. I am not sure why yesterday it hit me as much as it did but to be honest, I was very emotional, felt very sad, very left out of the Mother's Day celebration (since I am not a mother yet). Been married for 4 years and been praying for a baby for about 2 years now. God has promised us we would have children and we hold on to His promise standing upon this scripture,

Luke 1:45 (NASB)
"And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what had been spoken to her by the Lord."

When I begin to question God and when I begin to battle in this area, this scripture always brings me comfort. I am already blessed because I believe in the fullfillment of His promise that has been to spoken to me by the Lord.

I read this on Pastor Paula White Facebook page,
"Whenever you are on the brink of your GREATEST breakthrough you will often fight your biggest battle! Your victory has been secured through Jesus! Rest in Him!"
Immediately, I thought I must be on the brink of my GREATEST breakthrough yet because honestly this whole having a baby has been a tough battle this year. Obviously this isn't something that is easy to talk about but I want other women out there, with a desire to have a baby and it hasn't come to pass yet, who have these feelings on mother's day or any other day, to know that you are not alone. God hears our cries and if you haven't called out to Him, call out to Him. We are the modern day Hannah's and Sarah's. I was recently reading Judges 13 on the birth of Samson, his mother, who's name is not mentioned but God knew her and trusted her to give birth and raise a strong leader.

Judges 13:3 (NASB)
"Then the angel of the Lord appeared to the woman and said to her, “Behold now, you are barren and have borne no children, but you shall conceive and give birth to a son."

I am always encouraged by these stories in the bible because these women had to cry out to God, had to wait on God, and have faith in God just like us who are waiting for this very thing or anything that you might be waiting for, be encouraged by His Word.  God is faithful to complete His promise and these women gave birth to mighty men of God. I encourage you to read these stores and allow God to minister to you through them and renew your Faith and your Hope as you wait upon your Treasure.

As I spent the morning crying and wanting to hide in a cave (preferably a dark one), I heard God's gentle voice saying, "STOP focusing on what you do not YET have, and focus on the blessings that you do have."  I am blessed to have an amazing mother and I was able to overcome the battle and celebrate Mother's Day with my beautiful momma and family.

Praying that those of us ladies who have a desire to have a baby, will conceive in 2013.

His Delight, (Isaiah 62:3)

Faith, Hope and Treasures

So here goes my 1st attempt at blogging!
I want to start off by saying that my FAITH is in Christ Jesus! I am a Christian woman married to my lover/best friend/my one and only. God blessed me with an amazing life long lover.

My HOPE comes from the Lord. Life as Mrs. Aguila has been amazing and that is only because God has been so good to me. He has given me a hope when I thought there was no hope. He rescued and restored me. Made me a new creation and I am so thankful to my Lord and Savior for this amazing journey, welcome to Life as Mrs. Aguila.

Some of the TREASURES I will discuss on my blog are:  my life, my love, my nephews, my GIG (Girlfriends in God), my faith, my hope, my shoes, my hair, my make up, my Avon/Mark business (you can like my page here Victoria's AVON/Mark Shop) and everything in between.

Peace and Hope

I am taking a class or should I say a woman’s support group at my church, “Making Peace with my Past” based on a book with this title, by Tim Sledge.  We are now on week 10 of 12. Thank God!! Each week we have 5 days of reading, memory verses and affirmations. It has been quite the journey this whole making peace with my past thing.  I have had so much healing though so I move forward in it.
I read this in Unit 9, Day 1 of this work book and thought it’d be great to share for my Faith Friday treasure.
“Being spiritual does not mean that you are without flaws, that you never make a mistake or that you didn’t experience anything negative in your past. Being spiritual means that you are committed to Jesus Christ.  You are letting Him work in your life to help you become what He wants you to be.”

This reminded me of this verse (emphasis added).

Romans 5:1-5 (NIV)

Peace and Hope

Therefore, since we have been justified through FAITH, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by FAITH into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the HOPE of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, HOPE. And HOPE does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

When we are committed to Jesus Christ, we have been justified through FAITH, we have peace with God, we can boast in the HOPE of the glory of God AND we also glory in our sufferings with no shame, no disappointments, just the building up of our perseverance, our character, our HOPE and God’s love that has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that is given to us upon receiving Christ into our hearts.
On my own, I cannot love with that pure Godly love and surely I can’t be “spiritual”. My love is fickle and so temperamental and sometimes I feel like I am just not “spiritual enough” so when I read that in the book and I combine it with God’s word, I am deeply moved and so encouraged because I am committed to Jesus Christ, I have been for 7 years now(the best 7 years of my YOUNG life hehehe) and I am letting HIM work in my life to help me become what He wants me to be. God’s amazing love has been poured out into my heart. It has come out from God and poured into my heart through the Holy Spirit.  Therefore, I can now LOVE but not that fickle, temperamental, superficial love but with God’s pure and amazing love.

Do you know this kind of love???? I pray that you do. I pray that all will come into the knowledge of Jesus Christ and experience His amazing love.

I HOPE this TREASURE of FAITH, encourages you as much as it encouraged me.

His Delight (Isaiah 62:3),

Mrs. Victoria Aguila
